Supported by the National Science FoundationIowa State University has superb facilities and a distinguished group of researchers in molecular biotechnology and genomics. This program provides opportunities for summer research experience in protein engineering, molecular genetics, biotechnology and genomics of plants and animals. Travel: Up to $400 for round trip travel from distances greater than 100 miles from Ames, Iowa. Housing: Program participants will stay on campus in a dormitory. Free campus housing and a generous subsistance allowance will be provided. Eligibility: Undergraduate students in biological or agricultural sciences are eligible. They must be US citizens or permanent residents. Students who have completed lecture and laboratory courses in biochemistry or biology will be given preference.
